The basics.
What is ActorsGym?
ActorsGym Rome is a school and professional training centre for actors, created by Mob Studios. It offers weekly classes (acting, English, improvisation, singing, camera, etc.), international workshops, programmes for children and an in-house talent agency.
Can I enrol without any experience?
Yes! Our courses are open to all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. No audition is required, you can start right away.
Do I need to audition?
- No audition is needed to attend classes: the programme is open to everyone, respecting each person's level and goals.
- To join DRAMA, an interview or attending the open days is enough.
Train whenever you want.
What is “The Gym”?
It's a gym for actors: workshops, regular exercises, self-tapes and casting simulations to keep the “muscles” of acting in shape. Join whenever you like and stay as long as you like.
How does The Gym work?
You create your own customised package of one or more classes, based on your artistic and practical needs. Many classes also accept “one shot” bookings: you can book a single lesson and come back whenever you like, with no attendance obligations.
What does “one shot” mean?
One-shot classes are single lessons with no ongoing commitment: you book, pay and show up.
How do packages work?
Packages are groups of 4 or more consecutive lessons, from one or more courses. Make an appointment and build your package: we'll help you find your way around the ActorsGym programmes!
Drama, No Drama and Drama No Drama.
What's the difference between “Drama” and “No Drama / Drama No Drama”?
- Drama: advanced professional programme for adults.
- No Drama: workshop for children and teenagers up to 14–15, with a playful, non-competitive approach.
- Drama No Drama: workshop for young people from 16, with a professional but non-competitive approach.
Do the youth workshops include performances?
Yes, they include open classes and a small show at the end of the course.
Who guides you.
How do I book a class or workshop?
Check the Calendar on the site to check times and availability. You can book online or in person. Payments can be made online or directly at Mob Studios.
Can I choose the trainer based on my goal?
Yes, each course or workshop has its own specialised trainer (Meisner, Lucid Body, Acting on camera, etc.).
Who are the trainers?
Professional teachers from the industry: actors, directors, singers, voice actors. Visit the Trainers page and meet them all.
The in-house agency.
What is Mob Talents?
It's ActorsGym's in-house agency, created by Mob Studios to support talent in acting and music.
How do I join the agency?
Access is by selection, based on professional standards and agreed with the management. It also involves advice from Roberto Almagià and Mediavision Artists, partners of Mob Talents for targeted casting and production proposals.
The international certification.
What is the Trinity certification and what is it for?
The Trinity College London Performing Arts certification is an internationally recognised qualification that certifies artistic and communication skills in English. It is particularly useful for anyone who wants to pursue a career in acting, musical theatre or the performing arts in international or bilingual settings.
How do I get the Trinity certification with ActorsGym?
To obtain the Trinity certification you need to follow the DRAMAprogramme, which includes integrated technical and language preparation. Even though the exam is held in English, we guide you step by step, even if you're starting from scratch. ActorsGym is an officially accredited centre of Trinity College London for preparing and running the exam sessions. Find out more.
Do I already need to speak English to enrol?
Absolutely not. The programme is designed to welcome even those who have never studied English or have never acted in English. We prepare you gradually, with specific lessons, scenes and monologues, until you reach the confidence needed to take the exam.
