Acting course for young people aged 10–17

A year-long path between theatre and film to develop creativity, expressiveness, confidence, listening and stage presence. From stage to camera, in Italian and in English.

When

Two groups, one session a week.

A weekly 2-hour session, from October to the end of May / early June. Courses start in October.

Stage Lab

October

The actor's body

Acting, Commedia dell'Arte, body and ensemble work, stage presence, listening and character building.

Late October — November

Acting in English

Theatre exercises, improvisations, short dialogues and scenes: pronunciation, rhythm and confidence in using English on stage.

November — Early December

Voice, diction and interpretation

Breathing, articulation, voice use and text interpretation, applying the tools to English lines as well.

December

Building the scenes

Scenes in Italian and English, character work and progressive assembly of the performance.

January

Stage Showcase

Final rehearsals and presentation of the stage work built during the first part of the year.

February — May

Screen Lab

February

In front of the camera

Screen acting, close-ups, listening, continuity and presence in front of the camera.

March

Acting in English

Film scenes in English: pronunciation, listening and performance in front of the camera.

April

The Set

Shooting, rehearsals, set management and hands-on work in front of the camera.

May

Production

Final shoots, review of the footage and preparation of the closing event.

Late May / Early June

Screen Showcase

Screening of the scenes produced, possible live moments and presentation of certificates.

Acting in English

English runs through the whole course.

English runs gradually through both phases of the course. Not as a school subject, but as real acting work: listening, pronunciation, rhythm, memorisation and interpretation, first on stage and then in front of the camera.
